You can give this much to me. I am sorry for misbehaving. If you make me win every year, I will not misbehave. The Bollywood faces attending the prestigious Cannes 2012

Mallika Sherawat

Not a first- timer at Cannes, Mallika managed to look hideous during both her appearances. If her olive green Victoria Beckham outfit scored a minus because of the ghastly styling and bad hair, her gold ill- fitted Ali Mahadavi gown was another blot on the landscape, thanks to the tacky skin show combined with dreary make- up.

Kalki Koechlin

Adding to the list of fashion disasters were Kalki Koechlin and newly married Reema Sen, who were too far away from looking like red carpet divas. Both the actresses, present for the movie Gangs of Wasseypur , were no better than each other. While Kalki’s nude Dior gown looked a bit casual and her look seriously unfinished for something as glamorous and classy as Cannes, Reema’s monotone gown was purely blah and boring. However, Kalki’s over- sized necklace and the sparkling Dior clutch saved her from being completely lacklustre.

Freida Pinto

Freida Pinto was looking bang on trend in all her Cannes outings

Aishwarya Rai

We are waiting for the other L’Oreal ambassadors — Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai — to surprise us with some uber- chic designs which do full justice to their diva- esque personalities.

Aishwarya silences ‘fat’ critics in cannes

Just when everyone was feverishly debating whether she can or not, the not- so- yummymummy Aishwarya Rai Bachchan showed she still Cannes.

With her clever styling and clean make- up and hair, the 38- year- old former beauty queen successfully silenced those critical of her postpregnancy weight gain. Wearing a sari that was draped in a way that hid most of her flab, which she admittedly seems in no hurry to get rid of, a glowing Aishwarya looked comfortable and content.

Aishwarya rai in cannes film festival 2002-2012

Aishwarya wore a traditional sari to Cannes. The sari designed by her family friends Abu Sandeep looked gorgeous on her.

What really added to her charm was the way she had done her hair.

Ash, we feel has lived up to the title of one of the most beautiful diva.

Aishwarya's first appearence at Cannes this season was stunning too.

Ash picked a flowing maxi dress designed by Angelo Katsapis for a photo shoot.

As every year, she is attending the gala as the brand ambassador of an international cosmetic line she endorses. She will be accompanied by her mother Brinda Rai and will reportedly fly down with her five- month- old daughter Aaradhya, although hubby Abhishek Bachchan will not accompany her this time.

Although Ash hasn’t zeroed in on what she will wear on the Cannes red carpet, sources said she might choose an ethnic outfit by Indian designer.

Her recent appearance at the party thrown by Mukesh and Nita Ambani at Antilla brought her under the scanner. Several fashionistas and her detractors lambasted her for making a public appearance despite her increased weight and bloated face that she acquired post pregnancy.

With less than a week to go for Cannes, Ash will obviously have no time to get in shape for the film festival. She will have no option but to flaunt XLsize designer wear on the red carpet. “ She is enjoying motherhood and is not worried about how she looks,” her spokesperson said. “ Aishwarya will take her daughter along because she cannot stay away from the newborn,” confirmed the actress’s spokesperson.

Aishwarya wooed the fashion police with her looks last time she walked the red carpet.

She looked angelic in this outfit last year.

Aishwarya wore a short dress during the photocall of 'Heroine' at Cannes. Later, after her pregnancy came to light, she walked out of the flick.

'I didn't realise I was so close to completing a decade till someone pointed out to me last year, that I'd been coming to the fest for nine years, Ash said before flying to Cannes in 2011.

White looks lovely on her too. Ash in 2009.

Gorgeous in black, Ash at Cannes again in 2008

For the first time, she takes Abhishek to Cannes. The year, 2007.

Pretty or not? You decide. The year is 2006

She looks pretty. A photo from 2005.

Fashion police were never pleased with what Ash wore at Cannes. This from 2004.

Ash went to Cannes in 2003 also. And she dazzled.

SRK Shows His Shoe To Crowd at Pune Stadium

Unfazed by the number of controversies surrounding him, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan's antics after Tuesday night's Indian Premier League (IPL) match are all set to raise the hackles again.

After KKR beat Delhi Daredevils in the play-off in Pune and stormed into the finals, the Bollywood superstar took a victory lap in the stadium waving at the crowd.

However, just as an ecstatic SRK was soaking in the glory, he was seen gesticulating to some people in the crowd asking them to come on the ground. The next moment he pretended to take off his shoe as if to hurl it at someone in the stand.

Not done yet, an irked SRK was again seen daring some people in the crowd to see him on the ground.

SRK has been involved in several controversies in the recent past. The latest of those past incidents saw him banned from entering Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium for five years for an alleged scuffle and heated duel with Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials and security guards.

Sonakshi Sinha: I am not open to don a bikini or doing intimate scenes

The beautiful Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, who swayed hearts with her ethnic appearance in her first film DABANGG, would be once again seen in a desi avatar in the upcoming film ROWDY RATHORE. In fact her other ventures like SON OF SARDAR, LOOTERA and DABANGG sequel will also see her in a typical Indian role.
Ask Sonakshi if playing quintessential Indian girl comes easy to her and she says, "I don't have any specifications while choosing a role. I chose roles a) I believe that I would fit the character b) If the audience would like to see me playing that particular character c) If I want to be part of the film or not. So far I may have only played such characters but it's only my second year in the industry and I have a long way to go and explore many things."
Although Sonakshi is playing similar kind of roles, she is unfazed of being typecast. She says, "I like such characters. They are very different in spite of being in the same Indian space... Moreover, I get enough opportunities in my Ads, in my shows, in my events to wear western outfits."
Having said that, Sonakshi would consider playing western roles if the particular character and film interests her. "Basically for me if the entire package is very good - like the film, the script, the director and producer and if I like the role and can carry off it well I would definitely consider it," says Sonakshi.
Where many an actresses have no inhibitions shedding clothes and exposing on-screen, Sonakshi has her reservations donning a bikini or doing intimate scenes. "I am not open to don a Bikini or doing intimate scenes," declares Sonakshi.
On asking about her apprehensions, Sonakshi immediately replies, "I have been brought up in a certain way. I have certain restrictions that I follow. I don't really feel to change it because if the audience has accepted me fully clothed why would I resort to."
When cited an example of Vidya Balan's bold portrayal in THE DIRTY PICTURE, Sonakshi candidly admits she has no audacity to pull off such kind of role.
"It was a great film to watch. The performance which Vidya Balan gave was fantastic. I respect her so much as an actress after that film. But it really takes guts to do something like that and I don't believe I'll be able to pull it off with that ease with the restrictions I have in my life."

IPL - Shah Rukh Khan Misbehaves at the Wankhede

Shah Rukh Khan has come out and defended his behaviour at the Wankhede last night. Here areexcerpts from his interaction with the media -

"I wasn’t drunk. It is wrong to say I was under the influence of alcohol.  pick up my children. The officials were extremely aggressive. I just got angry but I left after that. I said a few things in anger. I was one and they were 20-25 officials and they were extremely rude. When I tried to answer them, they hid behind others. I was being bullied. Banning my entry to the Wankhede will not make a difference to my life."

"They should apologise to me. My only clarification is they should look into their association and learn how to behave. Under the garb of security rules they cannot behave highhandedly with people and especially with children. You can’t physically manhandle children. They manhandled little girls."

"I think my behaviour was completely right.  We would never, ever be abusive and disrepect the audience. It started when a gentlemen came from behind and started abusing me in Marathi. I asked him to speak in Hindi."

"The way the security came and pushed the little girls was completely wrong. They were aggressive so I became aggressive back. I think they behaved extremely irresponsibly. I stand by what I did. My behaviour was completely correct."

"They MCA officials need to behave better – not only with celebrities but with normal people also. "

"It is very easy to take on a celebrity and say what you want to. There was nothing illegal, I was not on the pitch. I know the rules."

Meanwhile the Mumbai Cricket Association Managing Committee now say that will take a decision on the proposed ban next week.

-----------------------
Earlier, Mumbai Cricket Association President Vilasrao Deshmukh has promised a quick probe into the allegations against Shah Rukh Khan regarding a scuffle at the Wankhede stadium. "I wasn’t present at the venue but based on the information from office bearers of the MCA managing committee, I think it is a grave issue. I was told there was a scuffle with the security guards and Shah Rukh used some abusive language  and the members tried to pacify him but he was not in a mood," said Deshmukh.
"We will have to think about it seriously and the managing committee will take a decision.  The members have filed a police complaint and the police will do their investigation", he added.
Earlier their was speculation that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is also the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL franchise team, may be banned for life by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). This is after Shah Rukh's alleged misbehaviour at the Wankhede Stadium following his team's 32-run victory against Mumbai Indians. IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla, however, said a decision on the ban would be taken after talking to all the involved parties in the incident.

MCA secretary Ravi Savant took a more provocative stand and said Shah Rukh had an altercation with the security personnel as well as the association's president Vilasrao Deshmukh. "He (Shah Rukh) misbehaved and abused the MCA security personnel aswell as MCA officials, including our president Vilasrao Deshmukh, after the IPL match (between KKR and Mumbai Indians). We have decided to ban him for life from entering the stadium in future," Savant was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. He also alleged that Shah Rukh was in an inebriated state.

Savant said the altercation had taken place in front of IPL CEO Sundar Raman and BCCI media manager Devendra Prabhudesai. He said despite the efforts of a top police official, Iqbal Sheikh, who is also one of the members of the MCA's managing committee, to placate Shah Rukh, the actor was not in a mood to listen to anyone.
